Refer a Friend scheme
Terms and conditions
- This ‘Refer a Friend Scheme’ (the “Scheme”) is available to existing Worldpay customers who provide a successful referral to Worldpay of a new customer incorporated in the United Kingdom who takes services consisting of Worldpay acquiring, Worldpay terminals and/or Worldpay gateway services (the “Qualifying Services”), and is subject to these terms and conditions.
- Each Worldpay customer who is eligible to participate in the Scheme (each a “Referrer”) shall be entitled to a £100 e-gift voucher to spend at selected retailers (the “Reward”) for each successful referral that they make in accordance with these terms and conditions. For the avoidance of doubt, Rewards may not be accumulated or split – each Reward must be redeemed individually.
- No cash alternative is available. The Scheme cannot be combined with any other promotional offer.
- The Scheme is available until 30 September 2026 unless amended, suspended or withdrawn as described below.
- Rewards are limited to 10 per year for each existing Referrer. Each new referred customer may only be referred by one existing Worldpay customer. This means that if two or more Referrers make the same referral, only the Referrer who makes the referral first will be entitled to the Reward, as determined by Worldpay in its sole and absolute discretion.
- All referrals must be made by following the instructions on the communications regarding the Scheme, including the Scheme's landing page on Worldpay's website. Referrers must share the referral link set out on the Scheme's landing page, and referees may then complete the form to indicate their interest in joining Worldpay. Referees must include the Referrer's business email address when submitting the form. The Referrer must remind the referee to input their correct email address.
- If the Referrer is an employee, contractor, or owner of the business being referred, then the referred business must have a separate bank account and register with Worldpay as a separate business.
- Only one Reward will be provided for each referred customer, i.e. merchant, even if more than one Qualifying Service is applied for.
- The referred customer must be an entity that has not had a facility with Worldpay in the 6 months prior to the date on which the referred customer entered into a merchant services agreement with Worldpay.
- Exclusions: You are not eligible to participate in the Scheme if you are:
- a contractor of Worldpay, as well as their immediate family members; and/or
- an existing referral partner of Worldpay. This includes, but is not limited to, introducers, ISO partners, Agent Partner or Integrated Partners; and/or
- Employees, representatives, or officers of any government, government agency, or government-controlled entity (including state-owned enterprises), as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate as Referrers in this program; and/or
- Individuals or entities on international sanctions lists, or otherwise prohibited by applicable law or regulation, are not eligible to participate as Referrers.
- Worldpay’s standard account opening procedures will apply and the referred customer will need to be accepted as a new customer of Worldpay (which shall be at Worldpay’s sole and absolute discretion). Terms and conditions apply to all Worldpay services.
- A merchant has been successfully referred if the business has gone live with Worldpay, i.e. it is processing transactions by using the Qualifying Services, and where direct debit payment authorities are in place for the referral customer. For the avoidance of doubt the merchant must process at least one transaction, which thereby activates the service, through any of the selected Qualifying Services within 60 days of signing the agreement.
- You consent to us using your name and contact details to verify you as the referrer of the referred customer, and in any communications we may have with the referred customer, and to pass these details to any third party who may issue the Reward to you.
- Provided that these terms and conditions are complied with, you will receive an email notification to redeem the Reward. The Reward must be redeemed within 30 days after you receive the email notification. We will endeavour for you to receive the Reward within 30 days of us being satisfied that the criteria herein for a successful referral have been met, as determined by Worldpay in its sole and absolute discretion.
- The issue of the Reward is conditional on the Referrer and the referred customer retaining Worldpay services at the time of issue of the Reward. If Worldpay is required to terminate services or does not accept the referral customer’s application, no Rewards will be issued.
- The Rewards are subject to the terms and conditions of the issuer. You must read them carefully.
- Worldpay reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the Scheme at any time for any reason. This offer is non-transferable and may be revoked at any time for any reason. The rules of the Scheme may be changed without notice and at the sole and absolute discretion of Worldpay.
- Worldpay accepts no responsibility for the operation of the Scheme and neither does Worldpay accept any liability in the event that any Rewards become valueless or unusable.
- Worldpay reserves the right to refuse a claim for a Reward if it has reasonable grounds to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, a misuse of Worldpay’s intellectual property rights, including Worldpay trademarks and/or materials, any misrepresentation; abuse of the Scheme; or any illegal or criminal activity including fraud in connection with the Scheme.
- These terms and conditions shall be governed by, and interpreted in accordance with, the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle all actions, claims, and disputes arising out of, or in connection with, the Scheme and these terms and conditions.
